MG (ret) Vinny Boles, DAU-S Professor of Life Cycle Logistics, provided a compelling discussion on the importance to achieve balance in acquiring supportable systems while ensuring our current systems have the required tactical and strategic logistics in place to fight and win our nation's wars. MG (ret) Boles emphasized the importance of doing basic things well - anchor daily decisions and actions on serving Warfighters, lead daily, all systems need to be built for supportability to reduce the logistics footprint and minimize O&M costs, and all 12 Integrated Product Support Elements need to be accounted for, resourced, and in place for every system.
