The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) continues to drive digital transformation of personnel vetting and industrial security missions through the use of the DoD Adaptive Acquisition Framework, industry best practices, and a tenacious focus on the digital foundations for cloud services and data management. They have established an acquisition program focused on migrating mission and back-office systems to single DCSA Platform as a Service and enterprise data management capability that enables other software programs to focus on mission capabilities rather than the underpinning cloud and data configurations. Using an agile approach with regular capability releases, this program is expanding the service catalog by using Integrated Product Teams from mission and other acquisition program leaders to define and prioritize the requirements at an agency level and ensure architectures are aligned with DoD reference architectures. Using the Simple Lean Agile Management (SLAM) methodology to decompose requirements, they create user stories within 2 week sprints using the centralized DevSecOps pipeline that includes automated and certified testing methods to ensure deployment success.
Come join Mr. Terry Carpenter, PEO for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and Mr. Christopher Carrigan, DCSA IT Specialist, as they discuss how their integrated catalog of services provides an easy pathway for legacy systems to transition to high powered, zero latency cloud architectures, using specialized tools built on the DoD Big Data Platform that includes containerization, data pipelines, and cybersecurity based security configurations. There will be an opportunity for Q&A.
