Learn about the newly revised DoD Cyber DT&E manual and supporting DoD Cyber DT&E guidebook to be published in the Spring 2024. This webinar will provide participants with a high level look at updated cyber DT&E policy and guidance.  Some significant changes include the retiring of the current six phases of cybersecurity T&E, including the elimination of associated terminology associated like “cooperative vulnerability identification” and “adversarial cybersecurity DT&E.”  The new policy and guidance will align to the T&E cyclical process: plan, prepare, execute, evaluate, and report in support of a T&E continuum and a campaign of learning. “Cyber DT&E” replaces “Cybersecurity DT&E” and focuses on the data needed to identify engineering and technical issues in the systems under test by testing with mission-context. Iterative cyber DT&E beginning with M&S and system developer cyber T&E informs engineering, remediation, and mitigation, and risks to mission, and verifies the system under test’s cyber performance based on cybersecurity, cyber survivability, and operational resilience capability requirements.  Can the system prevent, mitigate, and recover from the loss of mission critical capability?
