Description Panel 1:
In an era of global strategic competition, the Department of Defense (DoD) is working on new ways to ensure that expanding capabilities are more rapidly brought to bear to improve readiness across our various platforms. Understanding that incorporating new and increasing capabilities at speed is not easy, DoD is streamlining how the Military Services approach this technology transition in a more coordinated manner.
Evolving and emerging technology sectors (e.g., robotics, artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing…) are reshaping many sustainment processes across DoD. The coordination required to achieve maximum-scale are being developed to achieve the speed and extent required. These ambitious efforts will impact the workforce, processes, cyber security, technical rigor, permitting, funding, and many other facets that must be expediently addressed.
Don't miss this engaging panel discussion with the Military Service's Sustainment Technology Executives and DoD's Director of the Technology & Manufacturing Industrial Base as they focus on an integrated approach to accelerate capabilities transition, and transform our readiness approaches. The panel will discuss the creation of a common operating picture to coordinate joint implementation efforts and discuss the attributes of success. The panel will also convey the changes underway within their Services to propel the transformation of readiness operations across the DoD
