The guest speaker for today’s session is BG Michelle Link, who currently serves as the Deputy Commander of Joint Task Force Red Hill, with responsibility for defueling of the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility. She previously served as the principal military advisor to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Logistics.  In her civilian capacity, BG Link serves as the Product Support Manager for Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems, Assistant Secretary of the Army, Acquisition, Logistics & Technology.  

BG Link discusses the mission of defueling the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Farm Storage Facility and how she was able to leverage acquisition and program management tools to solve the engineering challenges there. She also shares her perspective on national security and the threats facing the United States.  Finally, BG Link shares her insights and experiences on logistics and supportability, supply chain management, and issues facing the organic and defense industrial bases.
