DAU South Region will host the annual Acquisition Update in the virtual environment on March 22-23, 2023. The theme for this year is “
Acquisition Relevance – Defend, Deter, Build”. The theme encapsulates the acquisition community’s responsibility regarding equipping the joint force, the timely fielding and sustainment of its warfighting capability and the enablement of the technological advantages that safeguard U.S. national security. The DAU President is scheduled to kick off the event, followed by a Keynote address by the Principal Military Deputy to the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology). The second day will begin with an address to the Defense Acquisition Workforce by the DAU President followed by a keynote address by the General Manager of the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) and later by the Commander of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC). Throughout both days, there will be numerous panels and presentations which address topics central to the success of Defense Acquisition.
Attendees will be eligible to earn Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) for participation. (1 CLP per session hour attended) The post event survey must be completed to receive a participation certificate with those CLPs. The survey will open following the Day 2 sessions and will close on April 7th.
