As the Department of War accelerates acquisition to meet urgent warfighting needs, leaders need more than Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs). DALC Part 6: Mission Capability Readiness Levels (MCRL) introduces a practical approach for evaluating readiness across complex programs and System-of-Systems portfolios.
This session shows how MCRL integrates technology, integration, interoperability, adoption, manufacturing, sustainment, human readiness, and model credibility into a single, transparent assessment. Rather than treating readiness as a static checklist, MCRL applies multi-criteria, multi-attribute decision analysis to generate evidence-based insight tailored to where a capability sits in the Digital Acquisition Life Cycle.
Participants will learn how simple, auditable tools such as Excel, make MCRL immediately usable by program offices, PEOs, and cross-functional teams. This approach enables faster, better-informed decisions without reverting to document-centric reviews. By the end, attendees will understand how MCRL turns readiness data into actionable insight across the Digital Acquisition Life Cycle.
