Significant potential exists for collaboration between the Technology Transfer (“T2”) and Acquisition communities on "spin in" activities. Defined in DoD Instruction 5535.08, "DoD Domestic Technology Transfer Program," "spin in" is the transition of technology into DoD using a T2 agreement in support of a planned or projected capability advancement by DoD.
A panel of acquisition and T2 experts will discuss how T2 can be leveraged for acquisition of military technology for the warfighter and provide best practices and examples of how their organizations use T2 as a component of their acquisition strategies.
