This video provides an overview of Intellectual Property (IP) and Data Rights and how the DoD gets access, through licensing, to contractor IP, data rights, and computer software; that are needed when acquiring or modifying a weapons system. The video can be used to obtain introductory insight into the DFARS data rights and computer software licensing scheme, before enrollment in DAU foundational online courses such as CLE 068 or executive level courses such as PMT 401, or used as a quick "refresher" at any time by any acquisition professional."
