Ms. Abbigail Pogorzelski, the program manager for the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP), and her team shared their experiences being innovative, the challenges they encountered along the way, and their ultimate success in fielding an engine replacement for the B-52. The DAU coordinators/facilitators for this session were Mr. John Robey (DAU Professor of Program Management) and Mr. Sam Parks (DAU Communications Team), Ms. Pogorzelski, with the support of her team, described how they applied Section 804 Authority of the FY 16 NDAA to do rapid prototyping and rapid fielding, thereby shaving years off their engine replacement program. Her program took risks and explored options in prototyping to limit risk in fielding.
