The Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) is the DoD Field Activity responsible for managing defense-funded scientific research available to DoD, industry, academia, and the public. As the Department’s scientific and technical information knowledge provider, the organization plays a key role in facilitating unclassified and classified information sharing on research & engineering efforts relevant to our nation’s defense. DTIC also administers the DoD Information Analysis Centers that bring together subject matter experts to provide a wide array of technical analysis, conduct basic and applied research, and evaluate the state of the art.
