The 21 IS Intel Operations Flight Squadron will be providing an UNCLASSIFIED brief covering a multitude of threats to the acquisition community and the DoD from Russia, Iran, North Korea, and China. Some of topics covered are supply chain management risk, cyber threats, and an update on the Russian Invasion of Ukraine.
Attending this event will help you better understand the myriad of threats facing the United States and the potential impacts to our security. Additionally, this event will help you better understand how the work you do in defense acquisition helps us win the Great Power Competition.

Capt Matthew Ryan, USAF
Captain Matthew J. Ryan is the Flight Commander for Intel Operations Flight of the 21st Intelligence Squadron at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. He leads a team of seven Airmen in support of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's focus on future adversary threats impacting acquisitions, briefing AFLCMC, IN Directorate, and 88 ABW leadership. Prior to his current assignment, he was a Flight Commander at the 22d Intelligence Squadron at Fort Meade, MD and was deployed to Al Udeid AB, Qatar as the Greater Levant Team Chief, leading a combined US, UK, and civilian team that provided timely and relevant intelligence on air and air defense threats in Iraq and Syria to AFCENT leadership. While deployed, Capt Ryan published thousands of daily and ad hoc intel reports, some of which were directly briefed to the Joint Chiefs of Staff and included in the Presidential Daily Briefing.
