What is OTA? Other Transaction Authority (OTA) is a dynamic instrument for utilizing commercial and emerging technology.

An Other Transaction (OT) award is an available Government agency tool to:

1. Help adopt and incorporate business practices used outside the Government;
2. Leverage and broaden the industrial base available to the Government (more non-traditional companies);
3. Encourage flexible, faster, less expensive product design and execution; 
4. Leverage commercial industry investment in technology development by fostering new relationships (including joint ventures).
