This lecture explores the second quadrant of our additive manufacturing framework: supply chain evolution. We begin by reminding ourselves of what path II is all about and why it is important. We then explore several ways in which additive manufacturing can act on supply chains to improve their performance and deliver value. We will also explore some specific applications of additive manufacturing to enhance supply chain performance. Finally, we will consider some attributes of supply chains that make additive manufacturing particularly applicable.
