Description: Every manager or team leader has two jobs when leading others. The first is to successfully complete their assigned tasks and projects while focusing on cost, schedule, and performance. The second is to develop the people on their team so they do their current jobs well but are also able to take on more responsibility and move ahead in their careers. To do both jobs requires time and balance on the part of the manager but offers major benefits for both current projects and the organization’s future. During this session, you will learn the basics of delegation and empowerment and how to apply them in our current Defense Acquisition environment.
