AFLCMC IPS Element Training: Technical Data Overview Week 3 (16DEC 2024)

Week 3 Technical Data Integrated Product Support Element (IPSE) training to life cycle logisticians and other acquisition and sustainment members from throughout Air Force Life Cycle Management Command (AFLCMC). Dr. Ken Abrams reviewed week 1 terms and data definitions and discussed risk management.  Reference IPS Element Guidebook Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements Guidebook, pp. 182-220. Training focused on influencing system design early and throughout as an enabler for affordable readiness; how activities within the Technical Data IPSE are critical for synchronization and tailoring of the other IPSEs and for collaboration with other functional areas (e.g., Engineering); guidance and best practices for planning and execution of contracting instruments and agreements to actuate product support activities; and the essential role of the Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP) in driving codified planning and activities from system cradle to grave.
