This workshop provides leaders with the tools to assess their current TM strategy and to understand proactive actions to develop a game changing TM strategy to effectively support their acquisition objectives. Audience: Employees involved with Assessing and developing Talent Management strategies that support acquisition objectives. You should be able to: Evaluate and assess current organizational TM strategy(s). Recommend the elements and activities of an effective TM strategy to support acquisition efforts.

I'm not sure to what degree program office personnel have a say in their Talent Management. They operate in a Center/Command that needs to have a good talent management strategy. I think this is a good introduction to the concepts underlying talent management; I just don't see how applicable it is to acquisition practitioners not in the HQ.

I found the speed of speaker way too fast. I thought the content was useful and important and tried to take notes but couldn't get one thought written down before the speaker had gone through several more. I also think it would also be helpful to reinforce the points with slides rather than just showing a bunch of pictures that don't really support the material.

I did think the point about having a strategy at the top and expecting subordinate leaders to embrace it was good. My command several layers up is talking about TM, but it doesn't seem to be reaching down through subordinate organizations down to the workforce.
