The Department has been focused on transforming our software development and operational practices since the release of the 2019 Software is Never Done: Refactoring the Acquisition Code for Competitive Advantage. The DoD CIO IE commissioned a report to find those pockets of excellence across DoD in which DevSecOps practices have been successfully implemented, resulting in faster deployment cycles, enhanced security, and greater operational efficiency. We would like our audience to hear the stories, understand the metrics, and appreciate how powerful the tool of DevSecOps is when accelerating software delivery. These pockets of DevSecOps excellence are helping to drive the FY25-26 Software Modernization Implementation Plan activities to completion.
