DESCRIPTION:
The last few years have brought unexpected change, from COVID 19 to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and more. Situations in which conditions are not simply unstable, they feel chaotic. We introduced the term VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) in a previous webcast. While VUCA is useful to describe what is going on in the world, it doesn't address the impact these changes have on you as an individual and leader. This event introduces a new term, BANI (Brittle, Anxious, Nonlinear, Incomprehensible) that helps you make sense of how you feel about chaos and change and gives you strategies to deal with the effects.
Speaker:
Dr. Stephen Firestone, Professor at DAU
