Description: MOSA (Modular Open System Approach) is an integrated business and technical strategy employing a modular design to achieve competitive and affordable acquisition and sustainment.
At the premiere of our new MOSA webinar, Mr. Garrett will discuss the nature of Department Of Defense Handbook: Airworthiness Certification Criteria (MIL-HDBK-516C), the creation of data models necessary for airworthiness assessment, and the creation of reference models within an Air Vehicle Reference Architecture context that builds in airworthiness attributes. Airworthiness attributes built into the design assist with establishing a succinct certification basis while also providing the means for verifying design criteria necessary to ensure that a design addresses airworthiness concerns. By modeling the data for the various tests and analysis processes required for other assessments and reviews, the data that also support airworthiness are defined and are added to the Acquisition & Sustainment Data Package (ASDP) data schema.
Mr. Chris Garrett, will discuss how executing the airworthiness process within a model-centric context, by identifying the supporting data, provides the means to accelerate the assessments while seeking to reduce subjective areas of assessment. The webinar will include a Q&A portion.
Speaker: Mr. Chris Garrett, Technical Lead for the AF Digital Campaign
