Due to the proliferation of intellectual property that has resulted in the loss of trillions of dollars, the Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal Agencies is focusing its attention concerning the safeguard of sensitive but unclassified information that resides on industry's networks and systems.

This is the fifth webcast session and will discuss NIST SP 800-171 DoD Assessment Methodology, Version 1.2 which is a standard approach to "strategically" assess and document contractor's implementation of NIST SP 800-171. Speaker: Christopher Newborn, a member of Department of Defense's (DoD) Acquisition and Cybersecurity Workforce, was appointed as a Professor of Information Technology (Cybersecurity Emphasis) at the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) in August 2015.
