Colonel Kevin B. Massie is the Senior Materiel Leader and VC-25B Program Manager, VC-25B Division, Presidential & Executive Airlift Directorate, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. He leads the team planning and executing the ACAT 1D program to design, modify, test, and field two Presidential mission-ready aircraft to serve as the next "Air Force One" providing worldwide airlift support to the President of the United States.
Prior to this assignment, Colonel Massie served as the Director, Space Defense Task Force and Chief, Space C2 Mission Systems Division, Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, California. In this position, he was responsible for integrating Space Battle Management, Command and Control, Enterprise Ground Services, and Space Threat Warning and Response efforts to leverage rapid acquisition and software practices and deliver an enterprise capable of fighting and winning a war that extends into space.
Colonel Massie received his commission through the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1995. He has served as an acquisition officer and developmental engineer across a variety of acquisition, systems engineering, and staff positions. His previous assignments include acquisition tours at the National Reconnaissance Office, Electronic Systems Center, and Space and Missile Systems Center and developmental engineer tours at the Electronic Systems Center and the Space Warfare Center. Additionally, he has held staff positions under the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Acquisition) and in Headquarters Third Air Force in Europe. Colonel Massie has also served on deployments to Albania, Mozambique, and Afghanistan.
